“Being able to partner with a national company based in Orlando like FBC Mortgage is special for the Cure Bowl,” said Cure Bowl Executive Director Alan Gooch. “Our relationship with FBC extends to the March 2 Cure, which will occur at Church Street Station. The total includes over $1.7 million in BCRF grants that have been awarded to Orlando-based researcher Dr. Annette Khaled at the UCF College of Medicine.
“We are proud that our premiere event, the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl, has been used a platform to raise over $3.7 million for cancer research,” Orlando Sports Foundation CEO Alan Gooch said. “Becoming the presenting sponsor of the Cure Bowl provides increased visibility and exposure for the Orlando Sports Foundation and its mission of bringing teams together to find a cure for cancer.”
The Orlando Sports Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization dedicated to raising funding and awareness for cancer research. The OSF puts on a number of different events throughout the year, including the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl, FFVA Mutual Race 2 Cure, Cure Bowl Cup, JA Edwards of America Strikeout Breast Cancer and Kickoff to Cure Luncheon.

College football fans, dignitaries, cancer survivors, cancer supporters, the Orlando community and the participating school’s bands will come together for a block party, then walk in a cloud of pink smoke to Exploria Stadium for the Cure Bowl.
Members of the OSF will be provided with a special VIP experience at the FBC Mortgage OSF Pregame Party, which will be held at the FBC Historic Orlando Train Station on Church Street. This exclusive member-only event features a catered lunch by Tijuana Flats and complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks from City Beverages and Pepsi. The train station places members at a central location for the March 2 Cure presented by FBC Mortgage.
